Connecting with Students
Users meet their virtual coach and learn about warning signs of psychological distress, how it impacts students health, academic performance, and retention, and what they can do when they're concerned about a student.

Conversation Challenge: Mariah
Users are introduced to a student who is new to the school. She has decreasing class participation and recently ran out of class in tears. Users learn some common identifiers for at-risk students, and practice techniques for promoting resiliency in their students.

Conversation Challenge: Jen
Users are introduced to a student who has had altercations in school and may have bullied another student. Users practice effective techniques for broaching sensitive topics, and learn about school bullying and cyberbullying.

Conversation Challenge: Michael
Users are introduced to a student with a sick family member who wrote in his class journal that he wishes it was him dying instead. Users practice how to approach the student, ask about thoughts of suicide, discuss a referral, and handle situations where students may be in danger

Conclusion
The virtual coach recaps the importance of educators supporting students who are experiencing psychological distress, and explains how to support students in these situations.
