Overview
Teen dating violence is a growing epidemic with the potential for adverse consequences throughout life. Research shows that one-third of American teenagers acknowledge they have been abused by someone they dated. It’s also estimated that half of the teenagers who experience rape or sexual/physical assault will try to commit suicide.
Through virtual conversation practice and a comprehensive tutorial on the topic of dating violence, this training guides educators and school staff through the requirement by many states to build awareness and skills related to this growing issue. This product focuses on dating violence, particularly the less obvious forms of abuse in a relationship such as: manipulation, control, verbal, mental, and emotional abuse, and crossing inappropriate boundaries.
Educators and staff have access to customized national, local, and school-specific resources in addition to simulation content.
