Users are introduced to their virtual coach and learn how to coach parents as family support providers. Users are taught how to practice techniques with parents and how to work with the parent to make a plan for integrating those techniques into their day to day.
Users assume the role of a family support provider and talk with a single mother who has given up on reading to her child. Users practice coaching the parent on how to read with her son in a way that will work for her.
Users see how they scored on each of the goals for the conversation challenge and get feedback on how to improve their performance.
Throughout the simulation, users have access to a printable summary and a web page that includes a list of specific learning resources.
Developed with the support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, this research-proven solution cost effectively helps improve patient-physician communication, collaborative care, and health outcomes.
